I love them in almost everything and I cook with them every day. My Grandfather used to sit at the kitchen table and play solitaire eating a bundle of green onions for a snack. Nothing else, just the onions.

I love onions too, but I do like other food to go along with them :o)

I have heard people brag about potatos and how many recipes there are for them. "You can do anything with potatos" they say. Well, I believe there are just as many recipes for onions. Onions can be eated raw, sweet, sour, sweet and sour, savory, salty, creamy, crispy, spicy, cheesy, fried, baked, boiled, broiled, grilled, dried, and the list goes on and on. I have never had an onion I didn't like. And they can stay with you for hours after you eat them, some times for days. :o)

There are onion recipes being created daily by the imaginations of all walks of life all around the world. I have personally thrown together many meals around onions. I can just look at an onion and say, "Hmmm, what can I make out of this?" Onions are the one vegetable I could not live without. They give flavor to everything you put them in, not vice versa. Onion soup is delicious by itself, but potato soup is sooo much better with onions in it. My wife makes her grandmother's recipe for potato and onion soup every time someone gets sick and I always say, "Why do we have to get sick to have potato and onion soup?"

So, what is the best onion recipe in the world? Well, I don't know. I haven't found it yet, but I am always on the lookout for it. I like 'em any way you can do 'em, but I do have some favorite onion recipes and they are listed below. I will be continually updating this site and adding to them. Enjoy!
